Create Shape overlay disappears when creating a new shape with ProBuilder
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “IN-85228” project
2. Open the ProBuilder window (Tools → ProBuilder → ProBuilder Window)
3. In the ProBuilder window select New Shape
4. In the Create Shape overlay select Plane Shape
5. Create the Plane Shape in the Scene window
6. Observe the Create Shape overlay
Expected result: The Create Shape overlay does not disappear after placing a shape
Actual result: The Create Shape overlay disappears after placing the shape
Reproducible in: 5.2.2 (2021.3.44f1), 5.2.3 (2021.3.44f1, 2022.3.49f1)
Not reproducible in: 6.0.4 (6000.0.22f1)
Fixed in: 6.0.1-pre.1 (2023.3.0a18)
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Note:
- In 2021.3.44f1 version the overlay disappears after placing sprite and plane shapes, in 2022.3.49f1 version the overlay disappears after placing any shape.

Thanks for reaching out with that question.
The shape tool behavior has been changed between ProBuilder 5 and 6 versions. We will not backport this new tool behavior to PB5, the overlay is also part of this behavior so this will not be fixed. Thanks for your understanding.
