Construct matrix block disappears, and other bugs and exceptions related to it show when opening/running project
How to reproduce:
1. Open “ConstructMatrixBug.zip” project
2. Open “OutdoorsScene”
3. Observe the Console window for warnings
3. Make sure the “Construct Matrix” blocks are present in “MagicMissile.vfx” and in “UpForwardPositionToMatrix.vfxoperator” Assets (Check internal notes on how to create these if they disappeared)
4. Enter and then Exit Play Mode
5. Observe the Console window, “MagicMissile.vfx” and “UpForwardPositionToMatrix.vfxoperator” Assets
Expected result: No warnings are thrown in the Console and “Construct Matrix” blocks stay in place
Actual result: “Construct Matrix” blocks disappear and warnings are thrown in the Console
Reproducible with: 2021.3.33f1, 2022.3.15f1, 2023.2.3f1, 2023.3.0a17
Reproducible on: Windows 10 (by reporter), Windows 11
Not reproducible on: no other environment tested
Notes:
- Reproduction is inconsistent and might require multiple tries
- “Construct Matrix” blocks sometimes disappear when opening the project or after changing the project’s version
