Collections package fails module verification when compiling and adding Burst function pointers to a HashMap inside a Burst compiled method
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “IN-134916” project
2. Observe the Console
Actual result: “Burst internal compiler error” is thrown in the Console
Expected result: No errors are thrown
Reproducible with: 2.6.3 (6000.0.70f1, 6000.3.11f1), 2.6.5 (6000.0.70f1, 6000.3.11f1), 6.5.0 (6000.5.0a8)
Not reproducible with: 2.6.2 (6000.0.70f1, 6000.3.11f1), 6.4.0 (6000.4.0b12)
Fixed in: 6.4.0
Reproducible on: macOS 26.3 (M1 Pro), Windows 11 (user reported)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- When upgrading package from “not reproducible” to any “reproducible” version the error is thrown or when reopening the Editor
- When downgrading the error is not cleared, but will not appear when reopening the Editor
