Circle collider keeps rolling despite friction 2d material
To reproduce:
1. Open attached project
2. Run scene 5
3. Notice that both circle colliders don't stop rolling despite materials with friction
By design:
The circle and the box rigid-bodies are perfect rigid-bodies and the circle/box has an extremely small contact area resulting in a tiny tangential friction force which offers little resistance when the circle is rolling. If the circle was rotating against the surface it contacts then the friction would be much higher and you can easily see this when a circle collider with high friction lands against a surface.
A typically way to solve this is to use angular drag (angular air friction) or linear drag (linear air friction) to slow rolling bodies.
