Cannot create DropdownField with nested choices when using UIToolkit

How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project "DropdownIssue.rar"
2. Open Window>UI Toolkit>Test Dropdown with Nested Choices
3. Click on any dropdown in the "TestDropdownView" window

Expected results: The choices are nested
Actual results: The choices are not nested

Reproducible with: 2023.2.0a15, 2023.2.4f1, 2023.3.0a18
Not reproducible with: 2022.3.15f1, 2023.2.0a14
Could not test with: 2021.3.33f1 (compilation errors in the Console window)

Reproducible on: Windows 11 22H2
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested

  1. Resolution Note:

    Due to the state of the new Contextual Menus feature, we decided to revert to OS Menus in 2023.3. Hence, we are cancelling all 2023.2.X ports and recommend using 2023.3.0b1 or higher for more stable context menus. The feature will be reconsidered in future versions.

    For some reason current developers of Unity can not create software without bugs.

    Why don't you fix it?
    Then how can I create nested choices with a Dropdown now?

    Hi,

    What’s the status of this bug?
    Currently, I’m making a tool using this feature so it’s quite important to me.
