“Assertion failed on expression” and “Invalid localAABB” errors appear when having a Particle System with “Loop” Arc Mode if “Arc” is set to 0
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “particlesystem.zip” project
2. Enter “SampleScene” Scene (Assets > Scenes)
3. In the Hierarchy window, select “Particle System” GameObject
4. In the Inspector window, expand the “Shape” tab of the “Particle System” Component
5. Change “Arc Mode” to “Loop”
6. Observe the Console window
Expected result: No errors
Actual result: Multiple “Assertion failed on expression”, “Invalid localAABB” errors appear
Reproducible with: 2021.3.28f1, 2022.3.5f1, 2023.1.4f1, 2023.2.0a23
Reproduced on: macOS 13.4.1 (Intel)
Notes:
-reproducible just with “Loop” Arc Mode
-reproducible with different shapes
-not reproducible if “Arc” is not 0
