Assertion failed and ArgumentNullException errors in the Console when selecting a GameObject with a Trail Renderer Component
Reproduction steps:
- Open the attached project
- Open the “/Assets/Scenes/Mix and Jam.unity” Scene
- Select the “Trail” GameObject in the Hierarchy window
- Move around the cursor over the Inspector window
Expected result: No errors logged in the Console
Actual result: A lot of errors are logged in the Console
Reproducible with: 2022.2.0a16, 2022.2.0b4
Not reproducible with: 2020.3.39f1, 2021.3.8f1, 2022.1.14f1, 2022.2.0a15, 2022.2.0b5, 2022.2.0b6, 2023.1.0a8
Reproducible on: M1 MacOS 12.4 (21F79), Windows 10 (21H2)
Note: This issue is reproducible on both Intel and Apple Silicon Editors on M1 Mac
