Arrays doesn't seem to be instantiated when exposed in the inspector
-e: when you declare a public type[] type in a monobehaviour, that array is not immediately instantiated and thus throws an exception
-repro:
--open attached project
--create new scene
--add test script
--NOTICE exceptions being thrown
--save scene
--reload scene
--notice no exceptions being thrown
