Adding a "/" in the layer names will will treat the layer as multiple levels in the drop down
Steps to reproduce :
- create a new project
- go to Layers > Edit Layers
- add a "/" in the name e.g. Layer/test
- select a game object
- change the layer and notice that the newly created layer has multiple levels
