2D objects that are flipped on the X or on the Y axis don't get highlighted in the Scene view when searching in the Hierarchy
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached '1345564.zip' project
2. Open the SampleScene
3. In the search field of the Hierarchy enter 'test'
4. Observe the Scene view
Expected result: The circle is highlighted
Actual result: The circle is greyed out
Reproducible with: 2018.4.36f1, 2019.4.29f1, 2020.3.14f1, 2021.1.14f1, 2021.2.0a10
Not reproducible with: 2021.2.0a11, 2021.2.0b3, 2022.1.0a1
Notes:
- The issue is not reproducible with 3D objects
- The issue is reproducible with other 2D objects (e.g. Buttons)
- The issue is reproducible only when the object is flipped either on the X or on the Y axis (doesn't reproduce when both axes are flipped)
