New Artifact generated for Video when reimporting with identical settings
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “IN-100207_Bug-VideoImport“ project
2. Open Window > Analysis > Import Activity
3. Select the “movie.mp4” asset and note the “Produced Files/Artifacts” “.resource” path
4. In the Project window right-click the “movie.mp4” and select Reimport
5. In the Import Activity window click on the “movie.mp4” asset
6. Observe the “Produced Files/Artifacts” “.resource” path
Expected result: The artifact path should be the same
Actual result: The artifact path is different and a Console warning is present: Importer(VideoClipImporter) generated inconsistent result for asset(guid:1677c943f67dc428ab6b522581b03d1c) "Assets/movie.mp4"
Reproducible with: 2022.1.0a1, 2022.3.61f1, 6000.0.48f1, 6000.1.1f1, 6000.2.0a10
Reproducible on: macOS 15.4.1 (M1 Max)
Not reproducible on: Windows 11
Notes:
- This behaviour can also be confirmed by looking at the Library/Artifacts folder
- The previous instance cache stays on disk and is not cleaned up
