Visual artifacts appear when placing Spline nodes or moving/rotating scene camera with large amount of nodes present and using DX12
How to reproduce:
1. Create and open a new project
2. Open Package Manager (Window > Package Management > Package Manager)
3. Install Splines package (com.unity.splines)
4. In the Hierarchy, right click and navigate to Spline > Draw Splines Tool…
5. Place a large amount of nodes (130+)
6. Observe the Scene view
Actual result: Visual artifacts flash periodically
Expected result: Scene view is rendered as usual
Reproducible on: 6000.3.2f1, 6000.3.8f1, 6000.4.0b8, 6000.5.0a6
Not reproducible on: 6000.0.68f1, 6000.3.1f1
Fixed in: 6000.3.9f1, 6000.4.0b9, 6000.5.0a7
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: macOS 26.3 (M1 Pro)
Notes:
- Selecting Spline GameObject and swapping to Spline tool will lead to a crash
- Visual artifacts can be observed more often if a Terrain is present in the scene
- Does not reproduce with Vulkan, DX11 and metal APIs
