Video Player glitches when Skip On Drop is enabled

How to reproduce:

  1. Open the attached “IN-143030_video_player_6000.3.14f1” project
  2. Open the “SampleScene”
  3. Enter Play mode
  4. Observe the audio and video playback

Actual result: The audio is doubled and video freezes
Expected result: The audio and video is as recorded

Reproducible with: 6000.0.74f1, 6000.0.75f1, 6000.3.14f1, 6000.3.16f1, 6000.4.8f1, 6000.5.0b9, 6000.6.0a5
Not reproducible with: 6000.0.73f1 (a166abc3bf0e), 6000.3.13f1

Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested

Notes:

  • During the playback warning messages appear in the Console:

{{AudioSampleProvider buffer overflow. [ X ] sample frames discarded.}}

  • Disabling {{Skip On Drop}} on Video Player appears to fix the issue, leaving up to 10 warnings after start with some additional few occasionally thrown
  • In 6000.0.75f1, 6000.3.14f1 the warnings are thrown constantly
  • The Player seems to be not affected by the issue
