I also met this problem and really annoying, even I convert NetworkID to ulong to do compare, still have this warning.

Having a similar issue with an enum of type short. We're using it in networked data so we'd rather not have to change its type to int32.

This is really annoying. Can it be work-arounded by storing the values in a ulong?
