Unity Hub does not change or doesn't visually indicate what Channel or version it is on when switching the Channel to "Beta"
How to reproduce:
1. Open Unity Hub
2. Open Settings
3. Select the Advanced tab
4. Switch the channel from “Production” to “Beta”
5. Close Unity Hub completely (including the system tray)
6. Repeat steps 1 and 2
7. Observe the version number at the top
Actual result: The previous version is displayed
Expected result: A different (beta) version is displayed
Reproducible in: 3.16.4
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (25H2)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Note: There are no visual changes, and nothing else indicates that Unity Hub is now working in a Beta version

There is nothing to indicate anything is being done. I left it open for 10 minutes and nothing. Just absolutely nothing is happening, as I explained that there is nothing to indicate untiy hub is doing anything with the beta.

How is this "by design"? I literally cannot switch to the beta version of the unity hub.

When switching to the Beta channel, the Hub does not immediately use the latest available beta. First, it must download the update, and when this is happening an info alert appears in the side navigation menu with the progress. Then, the alert will prompt users to restart to use the update. Upon restart a Beta chip is displayed in the navigation menu, with the exact beta version shown in the Settings dialog.
