"Unexpected transport error from import worker 1 " is thrown during building when building the project for the first time when "Meta" packages are present
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project "BuildFail"
2. In the Build Profiles, switch to the "Custom" Build Profile
3. Click "Build And Run"
4. Observe the Console
Expected results: The build fails with "Microphone class is used but Microphone Usage Description is empty in Player Settings." error
Actual results: The build fails with "Unexpected transport error from import worker 1 "
Reproducible with: 6000.5.0a8
Not reproducible with: 6000.0.69f1, 6000.3.10f1, 6000.4.0b11, 6000.5.0a7
Reproducible with: macOS Tahoe 26 (M1)
Not reproducible with: No other environment tested
Notes:
- The expected error is related to another bug
- Reproducible when deleting the library of the project and building it for the first time
- Might be accompanied by other errors, but most of times only this error is thrown
- If build fails for another reason, repeat the steps
Full error:
- Unexpected transport error from import worker 1 (possible crash). code=2 error=End of file -- for more information, check Logs/AssetImportWorkerHW1.log
