Regression
Yes
The shader is rendered in grayscale and Texture Alpha is not applied in Build when the Terrain is scripted
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached 'TerrainTestProject.zip' project
2. Play the 'SampleScene' scene and observe both terrains
3. Build the project
4. Observe both terrains
Expected result: Both terrains look the same as in Editor
Actual result: Scripted terrain is rendered differently
Reproducible: 2019.1.3f1, 2019.2.0b2, 2019.3.0a3
Not reproducible: 2019.1.0a14, 2019.1.0b1, 2019.1.0b4, 2019.1.0b5, 2019.2.0a1, 2019.2.0a2
Can't reproduce:
- 2018.3.0a1, 2018.4.1f1, 2019.1.0a1 because of 'Failed to load 'C:/Users/USER_NAME/Downloads/case_1154701-TerrainTestProject3/Assets/New Terrain.asset' because it was serialized with a newer version of Unity. (Has a higher SerializedFile version)' errors and both terrains are not rendered
- 2017.4.27f1, because both terrains are not rendered
