Regression
Yes
The Player hangs when unloading a scene using the UnloadUnusedAssets() method
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “BuildLockup” project
2. Open the “Assets/Scenes/SummerCampScene/SummerCamp2“ scene
3. Build and Run
4. Wait for 15 seconds for the scenes to switch
5. Click anywhere in the Build
6. Observe the results
Expected Result: The Build does not hang when the scene switches
Actual Result: The Build hangs when the scene switches
Reproducible with: 2022.3.46f1
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.43f1, 6000.0.19f1
Reproducible on: Windows 11 Pro
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Notes:
- Not reproducible in the Play mode
- Could not test for the regression version due to it taking 30+ minutes to build
- On 2021.3.43f1 and 6000.0.19f1 “Build and Run” doesn’t work, but building and then running the .exe file works
