Selecting unsupported Material in Physically Based Sky throws “RenderingCommandBuffer” errors instead of error help box in Inspector window
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create project using empty HDRP project
2. In Hierarchy window select “Sky and Fog Volume” GO
3. In Inspector window > Physically Based Sky enable All properties
4. In Planet and Space change Rendering Mode to Material
5. Select Material field to open “Select Material” window
6. In the window select “Default-Skybox” Material
Actual results: Error is thrown in the Console window “RenderingCommandBuffer” when selecting Material
Expected results: No error, help box should be throw with an error, stating that this type of Material is not supported
Reproducible with versions: 6000.0.57f1, 6000.1.16f1, 6000.2.3f1, 6000.3.0b1
Tested on (OS): macOS Silicon, Sequoia 15.6 (M1)
Notes:
- Also reproducing with “Default-Line”, “Default-Particle”, “Sprites-Default”, “Sprites-Mask”, “SpatialMappingOcclusion” Materials
