Performance degrades when Vsync is enabled on computers with Radeon GPUs and monitors with refresh rates above 60Hz
Reproduction steps:
1. Observe the attached video “ReproAMD2“
Expected result: Performance is the same
Actual result: FPS degrades when Vsync is enabled
Reproducible with: 2022.3.60f1 (user reported)
Reproducible on:
Windows Standalone Player (observed from the video)
Testing environment: Windows 11 (10.0.26100) (observed from the video)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- CQA did not reproduce this, as the project is not provided
- For PCs where the frame rate is above 120fps with vsync off, it is stuttering down to 15fps with it on
- Not reproducible on PS5, PS5 Pro, Steam Deck, or Nvidia cards with Windows
- Reproducible with BIRP Deferred
