No warning is displayed when using a Material External References sub-asset that has no references
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the “My projectEdited” project
2. Open the “Assets/Scenes/Game.unity” scene
3. Enter the Play Mode
Expected result: A warning is displayed
Actual result: No warning is displayed
Reproducible with: 2020.3.44f1, 2021.3.17f1, 2022.2.3f1, 2023.1.a26, 2023.2.0a2
Reproduced on: Intel MacOS 13.1
Note: For the reproduction to occur the material assigned to the GameObject's "Mesh Render" component has to have no references set in the "Material References" field
