Regression
Yes
[Mac] Tooltip and certain buttons in the Editor cause loss of focus on top level windows when VS or VS Code debugger is attached
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached "1269177_repro.zip" project
2. Open the "Example.cs" script with Visual Studio
3. Make sure "Attach to Unity" is selected in the Visual Studio's toolbar
4. Press Run in the Visual Studio
5. Go back to the Unity Editor
6. Select any GameObject in the Hierarchy window
7. Open another application, so Unity Editor would be out of focus
8. Hover on one of the selected GameObject's properties in the Inspector window (See attached "1269177_Macrepro.mp4")
Expected result: No tooltip is shown since Unity Editor is not in focus
Actual result: Tooltip appears, the opened application loses focus and now the Unity Editor is in focus
Reproducible with: 2020.1.0a23, 2020.1.3f1, 2020.2.0a21
Not reproducible with: 2018.4.26f1, 2019.4.9f1, 2020.1.0a22
Notes:
- The issue is also reproducible when the opened application is on top of some of the buttons in the Editor (Play, Pause, Account, Layers, Layout, and on the Scene view navigation tools). Clicking left mouse button in the opened application, still opens the Unity Editor (See attached "1269177_Macrepro.mp4")
- The issue is reproducible when debugging with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
- The issue is only reproducible on Mac OS
