[M1] Objects become grey when entering Play Mode if URP “Rendering Path” is set to “Deferred” and “Native Renderpass” is enabled
How to reproduce:
1. Open the user’s attached “urp-clean-2021-3-10.zip” project
2. Select “UniversalRenderer.asset” (Assets > Settings > UniversalRenderer)
3. In the Inspector set “Rendering Path” to “Deferred” and enable “Native RenderPass”
4. Observe the Game view
Expected result: GameObjects colors haven’t changed
Actual result: GameObjects are grey
Reproducible with: 12.1.8 (2021.3.15f1), 14.0.4 (2022.2.2f1), 15.0.2 (2023.1.0a24)
Could not test with: 10.10.1 (2020.3.42f1) (no “Rendering Path” setting)
Reproduced on: macOS 12.4 Beta (M1)
Not reproduced on:
macOS 12.4 (Intel)
Windows
Notes:
- Reproducible in the Editor and in the Standalone macOS Player
- Not reproducible with “Forward” and “Forward+” Rendering Paths
- Not reproducible in the Scene window
- Colors revert to normal when reproducing the issue in the Game window then opening the Scene window and switching back to the Game window
