Light Mode is not overridden to the Realtime mode in the Editor when the Light Mode is set to Mixed

--

-

Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “ASDQWE” project
2. Open the “Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity” Scene
3. In the top menu select File > Build And Run
4. Observe lightning in the Player
5. In the Editor, enter the Play Mode
6. Observe lightning in the Game View

Expected result: The Light Mode is overridden to the Realtime mode in both the Player and the Game View
Actual result: The Light Mode is not overridden to the Realtime mode in the Game View resulting in a discrepancy between the Player and the Game View

Reproducible with: 2020.3.48f1, 2021.3.25f1, 2022.2.19f1, 2023.1.0b16, 2023.2.0a14

Reproducible on: Intel MacOS 13.3.1

Note: Setting the Light Mode to Realtime fixes the issue

  1. Resolution Note:

Please set lights that are realtime to realtime explicitly, this will make the Player and Game View agree.

We recognize this as a legitimate problem, but in the spirit of transparency we are closing this issue, because we are not going to be able to provide a fix in a near future.
