[iOS][Performance] Animated sprite renderering regression
Performance regression in 'sprites quad mesh' test in the MobileTorture benchmark project.
See comment for exact details and project:
Basically it regressed by ~60% (24.945 -> 39.336) from 5.4.2f1 to 5.6.0b6 with alot of fluctuation on 5.5. It has been pretty stable since 5.6.0b6.
Seems to be only reproducible on Metal and not GLES2.
Tested on iPhone 7 with Metal. This seems to be only reproducible on CPU bound devices (not reproducible on iPad mini 2; see comment.)
