[ETC split] Compress using ETC1 only works when Texture Compression is set to ETC (default) in Build Settings
Compress using ETC1 (split alpha channel) only works when Texture Compression is set to ETC (default)
- import an image (or use an existing one) and view it in the inspector
- select Override for Android and check the Compress using ETC1 (split alpha channel) box
- go to build settings and confirm that the Texture Compression IS NOT set to ETC (default)
- build the project
ETC1 compression will not be used unless the Texture Compression is set to ETC (default).
