Entering Play Mode fails when using "EditorApplication.LockReloadAssemblies" with imported changes to the C# Script
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project "ReproProj"
2. Open the “/Assets/TestScene.unity” Scene
3. Enter the Play Mode
4. Observe that the Editor switches to the Game view
5. Exit Play Mode
6. In the Menu bar, click “Test > Toggle Assembly Reload”
7. Add empty lines to “TestCode.cs” and save
8. In the Menu bar, click “Assets > Refresh”
9. Enter the Play mode
Expected result: Editor switches to Game view
Actual result: Play Mode button changes, but Editor does not switch to Game view, suggesting that Editor does not enter Play Mode
Reproducible with: 2022.3.65f1, 6000.0.55f1, 6000.1.16f1, 6000.2.0f1, 6000.3.0a4
Testing environment: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- Make sure that “Auto Refresh” is “Disabled” (Preferences > Asset Pipeline > Auto Refresh)
- Make sure that “Do not reload Domain or Scene” is selected (Project Settings > Editor > When entering Play Mode)
Workaround steps:
1. In the Menu bar, click “Test > Toggle Assembly Reload” to disable assembly reload lock
