EditorGUILayout does not ouput selected text from TextEditor
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached Unity project "case_920620-ReproEditorGUILayoutTextAreaSelectionBug.zip"
2. Select Bug->Show Window from the Menu bar.
3. Type any text in each text area. (The top text area is created with GUILayout.TextArea and the bottom with EditorGUILayout.TextArea).
4. Select some text in each area and click the corresponding button.
Expected result: Both GUILayout.TextArea and EditorGUILayout.TextArea output selected text.
Actual result: EditorGUILayout.TextArea outputs an empty string (result shown in "textoutput.png").
Reproducible with: 5.5.1f1, 5.6.0f3, 2017.1.0b6, 2017.1.0b9, 2017.2.0a3
