1300377
Regression
Yes
Play Mode button, pressed while Scripts are compiling, enters pressed state but the Editor doesn't enter Play Mode
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached "1300377.zip" Project
2. Open the NewBehaviourScript2
3. Modify the NewBehaviourScript2 and save it, then immediately enter the Play Mode
Expected result: Editor enters the Play Mode after compiling the Script
Actual result: Editor grays-out the Play Mode button, yet doesn't enter Play Mode
Reproducible with: 2020.1.15f1, 2020.1.17f1, 2020.2.0f1, 2021.1.0b1
Not reproducible with: 2018.4.30f1, 2019.4.17f1, 2020.1.1f14
Note:
- It's better to use a basic text editor for modifying the Script (for example Notepad)
- It might take several tries to reproduce the issue, especially on the latest streams
