Editor crashes when attempting to edit Spline GameObjects in the Scene view
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “IN-77487_repro“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“
3. Select the “Spline“ GameObject
4. Press the Spline symbol on the Scene view context menu
5. On the Scene view, click and drag over the “Spline“ GameObject
Expected result: The Editor continues to run
Actual result: The Editor crashes
Reproducible with: 2.6.1 (6000.0.1f1)
Not reproducible with: 2.5.2 (2021.3.39f1), 2.6.1(2022.3.33f1, 6000.0.0f1, 6000.0.5f1)
Fixed in: 2.6.1 (6000.0.4f1)
Reproducible on: Windows 10, macOS 14.5 (user’s device)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- 6000.0.0f1 freezes for some time, however, does not crash
- The Crash is silent and has no Stack Trace
