.tmx file GameObject becomes missing in the scene when upgrading from 2018.4

1. Upgrade the attached project "case_1303493_2018.4.zip" to a 2019.4 or newer
2. Open "overhead" scene (Assets > SuperTiled2Unity > Examples > Overhead)
Expected result: There is "TestOverhead" GameObject in the scene
Actual result: There is a missing GameObject instead
Reproducible with - 2019.4.16f1, 2019.4.17f1, 2020.2.3f1, 2021.1.0b3, 2021.2.0a3
Notes:

Resolution Note (2021.2.X):
We won't be able to port fixes back to the versions required (2018 / 2019) so we are closing this case
But opening the project in 2021.3 now yields an informative error with the missing ID in the scene, which would help fix the problem encountered here
