[Mono Upgrade] CommandBuffer native plugin events hang in the Editor
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project's Scene labeled "SampleScene"
2. Enter the Play Mode
3. Exit the Play Mode
4. Enter the Play Mode again
Expected result: Editor doesn't freeze/hang
Actual result: Editor freezes/hangs
Reproducible with: 2019.4.29f1, 2020.3.14f1, 2021.1.14f1, 2021.2.0a18, 2021.2.0b3, 2022.1.0a3
Not reproducible with: 2021.2.0a17

We still have this problem at 2020.3.16 engine version

It looks like this issue has been stale for quite some time. Are there any rough estimates on when this can be released? It is affecting our development speed quite a lot.
