Changing a texture from the Inspector should not change the texture on all the duplicated objects
Steps to reproduce :
- import the project attached
- open the scene GameScene
- go to Resources and pick one texture
- drag that texture on all the 3 quads in the scene
- in the Hierarchy select Floor > U3D Mesh
- change the texture from the inspector and notice that the texture changes for all the three quads
