Changes to scripts cause infinite compilation times after playing a scene
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open any project
2. Open any script or create a new one
3. Make changes in the script
4. Press play while it's still compiling (spinning progress wheel bottom right of Unity is active)
5. Observe the Infinite loop during compilation
Expected result: Unity should not stuck in infinite compilation times
Actual result: Unity is stuck in infinite compilation times
Workaround:
Minimize the Editor window and restore the minimized window
Note:
Collab is turned off
Reproduced with: 5.4.5p1, 5.5.3p1, 5.6.0p1, 2017.1.0b1

I have had the issue with all versions of 2017.1 up to 2017.1.1p4. Collab is turned on in our projects and currently using MacOS High Sierra with the latest version of Visual Studio Community.

Minimizing and restoring doesn't work for me, neither does the panic button. Is there a way to run a debug session to trap the error and break the compilation process?

Unity is actually useless for me with that bug in place.

Can Confirm this. Reproduceable on 3 diffrent PCs wit 2017.1.0f1 and 5.6.2f1
Imported the Asset "Realtime CSG" and "VRTK"
after that the Editor is stuck in an Compiling Loop wich only stops when one of the two Assets is Removed.
