--

-

Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project “BuildRepro”
2. Go to File > Build Settings and build for iOS

Expected result: The Player is built
Actual result: Build fails and Console errors is thrown “Exception: Unity.IL2CPP.Building.BuilderFailedException: Build failed with 0 successful nodes and 0 failed ones”

Reproducible with: 2021.3.4f1, 2021.3.17f1, 2022.1.0b8
Not reproducible with: 2020.3.44f1, 2021.3.3f1, 2022.2.5f1, 2023.1.0b1
Fixed in: 2022.1.0b9

Reproducible on: MacOS (Intel and M1 Max)

Notes:
Unzip the project every time when changing versions.
Doesn’t reproduce with Mac standalone platform.

  1. Resolution Note:

I suspect that this project was built in one location, then moved to another location and rebuilt. Removing the Library/Il2cppBuildCache/ directory causes the project to rebuilt without references to the non-existent file.
