“BoxCollider does not support negative scale or size.” warning is thrown when entering Play Mode in the HDRP Particle System Shader Samples “ParticleShaderGraphsSampleScene” Scene

SRP Templates

-

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new Unity project using the HDRP template
  2. Open Package Manager window
  3. Find and select High Definition Render Pipeline package
  4. Select “Samples” tab
  5. Import the Particle System Shader Samples
  6. Open the "Assets/Samples/High Definition Render Pipeline/17.4.0/Particle System Shader Samples/Scenes/ParticleShaderGraphsSampleScene.unity" Scene
  7. Enter Play Mode
  8. Observe the Console window

Actual results: "BoxCollider does not support negative scale or size." warning is thrown

Expected results: No warnings are thrown

Reproducible with versions: 6000.0.64f1, 6000.3.2f1, 6000.4.0b2, 6000.5.0a3

Tested on (OS): MacOS Silicon Tahoe 26.0.1

Notes:

  • Seems that the “Background” GameObject has a Box Collider with negative scale values, no warnings are thrown when this GameObject is removed
