2. Go to File > Build Settings and select the Android platform
3. Open the Addressibles Groups window from Window > Asset Management > Addressables > Groups
4. Build Addressable from Addressables Groups window -> Build -> New Build -> Play Asset Delivery

6. Build and run the project on an Android device
7. Inside the Player press “Install-Time”
8. Press “Fast-Follow”
9. Press “On-Demand”
10. Observe the Android LogCat window

Expected result: No errors are seen in the LogCat
Actual result: Errors such as “2023/02/02 20:14:38.926 18903 5377 Error Unity Failed to read data for the AssetBundle 'aa\Android\fastfollowcontent_assets_all_14f43f41758b15aa22427b09ebd7320c.bundle'.” are seen in the LogCat

Reproducible with: 2022.2.5f1
Not reproducible with: 2020.3.44f1
Could not test with: 2021.3.18f1, 2023.1.0a25 (Errors in the Console, such as “Picked up JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS: -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8”)

Reproducible with devices:
VLNQA00332, Samsung Galaxy XCover4 (SM-G390F), Android 9, CPU: Exynos 7 Quad 7570, GPU: Mali-T720
VLNQA00325, Samsung Galaxy Note10 (SM-N970F), Android 12, CPU: NOT FOUND, GPU: Mali-G76
VLNQA00318, Oneplus OnePlus 7 Pro (GM1913), Android 11, CPU: Snapdragon 855 SM8150, GPU: Adreno (TM) 640
VLNQA00231, Samsung Galaxy A5(2017) (SM-A520F), Android 8.0.0, CPU: Exynos 7 Octa 7880, GPU: Mali-T830
VLNQA00231, Huawei HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro (LYA-L29), Android 9, CPU: HiSilicon Kirin 980, GPU: Mali-G76

Reproducible on: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2

Notes:

* Could not find FAV due to the errors and long loading times with old versions although still reproduces the issue on 2021.1.18f1
* Possible that the error comes from the string “bundleName = Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(providerInterface.Location.InternalId);” in AddressablesPlayAssetDelivery.LoadFromAssetPack

  1. Resolution Note:

A new package (com.unity.addressables.android) for PAD that's being built on top of Addressables is going to be released soon. It will have official support moving forward.
