Sprite Mask is Categorized under Miscellaneous in the Components Menu
Steps to Repro:
1. open the editor
2. from the Editor Window Menu select Component->Miscellaneous
3. look for Sprite Mask
Result: Sprite Mask is listed under Miscellaneous
Expected: Sprite Mask should be grouped with other 2D components under Rendering (e.g. Sprite Renderer, Sorting Group)
