UI.Mask turns pink when switching to another application
Better, simpler repro and more details in duplicate : http://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/ui-controls-ui-controls-are-not-getting-rendered-properly-if-unity-loses-focus
To reproduce:
1. Open attached project
2. Open Scene
3. Minimize editor
4. Switch back to editor
5. Notice that mask turned pink
Reproducible: 5.4.0b1, 5.3.1p1, 5.2.4f1, 5.1.4f1

by the way, we are getting the pink images in 2017.4.5f1 - using Collab

Hi Mask on images turns pink, I looked in version control 'Hidden Meta Files', but because we are using Collaborate Version control is not available. maybe we can set it elsewhere?

Issue was absent in 5.5.0f3, and is now present again in 5.5.0p3. Switching meta visibility had no effect. Manual update of anything inspector causes a correction.

Hi guys I'd found one of the possibility to cause such issue. I had a project that would reproduce this bug, and the version control mode was "Hidden Meta Files" (Project Settings->Editor). The bug disappeared while I've changed that to "Visible Meta Files". I'm using Unity 5.4.2f2 with Windows 10.

What? This one: https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/ui-text-disappears-on-editor-focus-change-due-to-editor-dll is not a duplicate of this one right here. Seriously unity? The text disappearing is one thing, the mask becoming pink is another thing.
