SoftOcclusion trees are not affected by Terrain Wind since 3.0
The terrain tress are not being affected by wind.
Repro Steps:
1) Launch unity 3.2.0f3_60620
2) Create new terrain: 50x50 res and paint grass2 texture
3) Add Palm tree from Terrain Assets package
4) Increase wind speed to highest via Click Terrain in Hierarchy -> Settings -> Wind Settings
5) Hit play button and observe in game view Palm tree is not effected by the wind although grass is.
Desired outcome: Wind should effect all objects which can be painted on the Terrain.
If this is by design then it should be made clear what the Wind settings on the Terrain actually effect.
