MonoDevelop. Only second column is displayed in 2 column layout when MD is restarted
1) Open first and scripts in MD.
2) Move second script to column 2 (View -> Editor Layout -> 2 columns).
3) Close MD
4) Open a third script in MD.
Only second column is displayed, you can't see (and open) scripts from the first column.
Workaround is to switch to "1 column" layout or close scripts from the second column (those that you can see)
It looks like it works fine with two scripts.
Bug appears even if the third script opened in one of the columns
