Delete button does not trigger delete function in Hierarchy and Project windows
Reproduction steps:
1. Create new project.
2. Try to delete Main Camera or Directional Light.
Expected result: Object will be deleted.
Actual result: Nothing happens.
Notes: This problem appears in Hierarchy and Project windows, but it works fine in Inspector window. This problem might affect other windows as well.
Shift + Delete and context menu delete works fine.
Reproduced on: 2017.2.0a1.

Repro'd in 2022.3.26 LTS:
1. Create a new dir (with auto-refresh off, if that matters)
2. Click on new dir
3. DEL key -> Nothing happens

Toggle caps lock key.

This happened to me a couple times, may have just figured it out. Try clicking tab key. or maybe the specific order of caps and then tab. Idk but it worked for me :)
