[Geomerics] Stuck at clustering jobs when baking lightmaps.

Global Illumination


-e: attached project never finishes baking

--open attached project (it is!/content/9473)
--open the "scene" in the JunglePack
--open lighting window
--start the backing
--NOTICE it gets stuck at "5/11 clustering"
---it was running two JobProcesses at max for over 1h and logged nothing into the the editor log
--cancel bake
--change color space to linear in player settings
--start baking process
--NOTICE it gets now stuck at "7/11 Light Transport"

--would be really nice to have some extra indication as to whether it is actually still doing something and not just spinning

    Resolution Note:

    We won't be fixing Enlighten-related issues as it has been deprecated. Please consider using Progressive CPU or GPU Lightmappers instead.

    Same error here, ut stucks baking light transports. Can't use Precomputed Realtime GI, neither Baked GI, so lighting looks very unrealistics (i'm missing my commodore 64 graphics)

    I can't just figure it out why Unity chose Enlighten for its lightmapping engine, Enlighten can't even make a simple 1024*1024 lightmap :/

    Now I'm understanding why Unity 5 is FREE !!!!

    Just make sure your scale in Inspector > Transform is always 1 for all the content in your scene. Was baking with 16 cores / 32 threads machine and with scale (42) for whole map the baking was lasting forever... Scaling back to 1 = instant bake....

    I got this behaviour on 5.4.0f3 as well.
    worked on a scene in windows, then switched to osx to compile for ios - baking got stuck on step 5/11. helped to switch off STATIC from my floor object. :(

    Hi, I'm a developer trying to publish a game. TRYING is the key word here. If I can't bake my lighting, my whole performance gets hammered. I really like Unity but if I can't bake lights into my environment I'll never buy a Pro license. Please fix this issue. Thanks.

    Lightmapping is the most important part of unity, They must fix anybugs in this part urgently

    I hit this problem too. Disabled everything in my scene until it went away and narrowed it down to the trees. Any trees I use, whether I've created them or downloaded them from the asset store, cause some "Clustering" job to just sit there, never completing.
