Sprites lose their reference in Scene and Game view when changing Texture2D Import Settings
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project “IN-141391”
2. In the Project window go to Assets → Scenes
3. Open “SampleScene”
4. In the Project window select Assets → Textures → “NumbersSheetWhite”
5. In the inspector window of “NumbersSheetWhite” change any setting, for example “Pixels Per Unit”
6. Observe Scene and Game views
Actual result: The numbers can not be seen in Scene and Game views
Expected result: The numbers don’t disappear and can be seen in both Scene and Game views
Reproducible with: 6000.4.0a1, 6000.4.7f1, 6000.5.0b8, 6000.6.0a5
Not reproducible with: 6000.0.75f1, 6000.3.0a6, 6000.3.15f1
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Note: Enter Play mode or go to Hierarchy → Grid → Tilemap, right click on Tilemap Component in Inspector → “Refresh All Tiles” for Sprites to reappear.
