“Shader error in ‘Shader Graphs/Master’: Invalid conditional expression” is logged when a project is opened
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “URPCustomLighting.zip“ project
2. Observe the Console
Expected result: No errors are thrown
Actual result: “Shader error in ‘Shader Graphs/Master’: Invalid conditional expression” error is thrown
Reproducible with: 14.0.7 (2022.3.0f1), 15.0.5 (2023.1.0b19), 16.0.2 (2023.2.0a18)
Could not test with: 12.1.12 (2021.3.26f1) (Downgrading stops reproduction)
Reproduced on: macOS Ventura 13.3.1 (Intel), Windows 11 (by the reporter)
Notes:
- Sometimes additional Shader errors are thrown
- Reproduces only if there are no changes to the project
- Downgrading stops reproduction, regression check is impossible
- Not reproducible in Player
- If reproduction doesn’t happen, unzip the project again
