Rotation gizmo extends beyond the gray circle and is warped when the selected GameObject is near a vertical edge of the Scene view

Scene Tooling

-

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create and open a new 3D project
  2. Select any GameObject in the scene
  3. Move it to the edge of the Scene view
  4. Increase the FOV of the Scene view camera
  5. Switch to Rotate Tool
  6. Observe the rotation gizmo with respect to the gray circle

Actual results: The rotation gizmo extends beyond the gray circle, and the shape of different axes is not circular

Expected results: The rotation gizmo is within the gray circle, and the shape of the axes is circular

Reproducible with versions: 2023.1.0a10. 6000.0.73f1, 6000.3.13f1, 6000.4.3f1, 6000.5.0b4, 6000.6.0a3

Tested on (OS): Windows 11 Pro (25H2)

Notes:

  • With higher FOV values of the Scene view camera, the warping is greater - looks like the gizmo axis handles are affected by the FOV
