It is hard to set an HTML color tag in a string or GUIContent in the Inspector
1 Open attached project
2 Open "GUI Content Test" scene
3 Choose "Main Game Object" in Hierarchy
4 In Inspector: try changing the values of String Content or Gui Content. Text in the inspector. The cursor will be somewhat unresponsive or cursor skips several words at a time once it hits the html tag.
