HDRP Light shadows switch Type from Soft to Hard after re-enabling the Shadow Map option
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a 3D HDRP template project
- Select the Sun object in the OutdoorsScene
- In the Inspector window, right-click on the Enable option under the Shadow Map option and select the "Search Same Property Value" option
- In the Search window that opens, observe that Shadow Type is set to Soft
- Close the Search window
- Disable and re-enable the Shadow Map for the Sun object
- Repeat Step 3 and observe the Shadow type
Actual results: Shadow type is set to Hard after re-enabling the Shadow Map option
Expected results: Re-enabling the Shadow Map option does not change the Shadow Type
Reproducible with versions: 2022.3.74f1, 6000.0.71f1, 6000.3.11f1, 6000.4.3f1, 6000.5.0b3, 6000.6.0a3
Tested on (OS): Windows 11, macOS 26.3.1
Notes:
- The issue is reproducible after creating a new project or after creating a new scene
